The impact that MOMS programs have had on the health and well being
of the community has been well noted:

2003 Sweet Success Special Achievement Award
MOMS was one of only two organizations in the state recognized by the California Department of Health Services Diabetes & Pregnancy Program for improving the outcomes of pregnant women with diabetes and reducing the risk of type II diabetes.

Congressional Record: "Programs like MOMS have given more women opportunities to provide a better life for their unborn children and a better chance at being healthy" September 10, 2002 On the floor of the United States House of Representatives, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez credited MOMS for improving infant health in the cities of Santa Ana and Anaheim

Peter A. Hartman Award for Excellence in Innovation: MOMS was the very first recipient of this award from the Children and Families Commission of Orange County (Prop 10 Commission) - June 2002

Orange County Register: "Local health-care officials said that prenatal programs such as those offered by Maternal Outreach Management System (MOMS) have helped improve infant health"

MOMS was credited by the Orange County Health Care Agency for helping to reduce the number of babies born underweight.  Following only Portland, OR., Santa Ana and Anaheim  (MOMS two primary service areas) had the lowest percentage of infants born below 5.5 pounds in the nation.
